Ishita Rathi cleared the UPSC examination with 8th rank all over India. She lives in Bagpat district, Uttarpradesh but she spends most of her childhood in Delhi. How did her parents keep pushing her to become an IAS officer?
As they both are in police service they thoroughly know how much power can an IAS officer hold, They told her about, how an Ias officer work, and how they can put Impact on the district, that’s why she decided to become an IAS officer. His father and mother do lots of sacrifices because of her study even if they remove the TV from the house and limit her socialization.

She completed her 10th stander with 94% marks and 97% in her 12th class. she completed her schooling at Delhi D.A.V public school after that she decided to join LSR college to complete her graduate degree in economics then she move to Chennai for completing her post-graduation degree in Madras school of economics.
How many attempts did she take to clear the UPSC examination?
She took three attempts to clear the UPSC examination. In the year 2019, she gives her first attempt, After giving her first attempt she realizes that the UPSC exam is tough to crack and needs special preparation and strategy.
Net Year 2020 she took another chance on the UPSC examination and she failed again because she gets a very less number in economic subjects.
In 2021 she gives UPSC examination again and this time she cleared the UPSC examination with a rank of 8 all over India.

Economics is her optional subject. As she graduated in Economics she knows the subject and she is very familiar with these topics so it became easy for her though she can’t crack her 2nd attempt because she gets less number in economics or her optional subject even then she took economics as optional in her third attempt and gets highest marks (paper I- 170, Paper II- 123).
What newspaper did she read?
She read the Hindu newspaper. She did not make notes from the newspaper but she use the newspaper for two reasons, for current affairs and for the learning style of answer writing.
Did she take coaching for UPSC preparation?
No, she did not take any coaching for UPSC preparation rather she depend on her own study and she use the internet and youtube when she did not understand any particular topic or question. She cleared this UPS examination without coaching.
How does she handle her exam pressure and anxiety?
She told us that this is a little tough to handle specially the pressure of the prelims examination. When she feel that she was feeling the pressure of examination that time she talk with her best friend or with her parents because they motivate her. When she feels bored from reading she watches movies or plays with her dog.
