she was born in Mahendragarh, Haryana, and because of her occupation she spent more time in Delhi. she completed her schooling at Balwant rai Mehta Vidya Bhawan, and she is a very brilliant student in her school. Her 12th strim was science and physic is her favorite subject since childhood that’s why she complete her B.Sc from the Hindu collage university of Delhi in physic honors. From the beginning of her school life, she is a brilliant student, especially in the science group, in the 10th class exam she scores 97% marks and she is the school’s topper in her school. In the class 12th exam, she scores 91% with science strim, again she became school topper After that she completed her B.Sc degree with 75% marks.
how many attempts did she take to clear the UPSC exam?
she take two attempts on the UPSC exam and she cleared both of them but in her first attempt she did not get IAS rank rather she gets Indian railway personnel service (IRPS), but she did not stop herself. Next year she took another try on the UPSC exam and this time she not only clear the UPSC exam but get 5th rank in the UPSC all over India.

When she started her preparation she takes 7 to 10 days to know what is UPSC exam and how it works, and what is the syllabus she goes through the previous year’s question papers to understand the pattern of this exam then she goes through the booklist of toppers and she realizes that more than 80% of the topper has the same booklist. She starts her preparation with basic ncert books. she told us that first of all she goes through NCERT of class 9th to 12th, among them 11th class ncert and 12th class macroeconomic is the most important book for her and every other day something comes out on the newspaper about the economy so keep an eye on the newspaper and current affairs.
Time management for UPSC preparation of Mamta Yadav
She wakes up early in the morning and starts her day with a cup of tea and a newspaper after that she divided her time into slots she gives more than 9 hrs to gs studies and 2 hrs for current affairs. In this interview, she advised that don’t have long breaks in between your time slots.
How did Mamta Yadav Prepared for her current affairs?
She use two materials for this part of the UPSC preparation, The Hindu newspaper, and one monthly magazine. when she starts reading the newspaper, like many other UPSC aspirants she also could not understand what to read or what not but after one month of reading she understand what to read in the newspaper. She makes notes from the newspaper. She read the Hindu newspaper for one hours.
How she Prepared for csat
for csat she suggests that first go through csat previous year’s question papers and then attempt that previous year’s question paper for two hours then checks how much you score on this paper, if your score comes around 80 then there is no worry, just solve the mistakes don’t repeat it. If you don’t score well through this system then identify where is your strength in math or comprehension if you find you are not good in maths then work on it. She suggests that don’t take csat likely people do suffer from this paper.
Polity- again she prefers NCERT and Lakshmi Kant, from Laksmi Kant you have to read the whole book it is like a bible of the economy. One more thing that you have to read was the nitiyayog documents and the second arc.
history- Like many other people she prefers old ncert books for Ancient, medieval, and modern. Another important book she preferred for modern history was spectrum. For art & culture, she prefers fine art NCERT books. For World history, she told us that a maximum of two or three questions come from this topic so don’t waste too much time on this paper.
geography- she started with ncert and GC leong. Especially she told us that she read 12th class Indian Geography book and she makes notes from this book.
economy- She refer to Shankar ias book and she told us that this subject is the most difficult subject for her. One more material she suggest that she read was 12th class biology along with current affairs.
science and technology- She did not read any book on this topic as she complete her B.sc degree in physic but she follow the current affairs. She suggests to us that you have to follow news about new technology or something new found in our galaxy so it is completely current affairs based.

Her optional subject was physic and she chose this subject because she has done her graduation in physic so she feels confident in this subject that’s why she chose physic as her optional subject. Even she complete her B.sc degree in physic despite that she makes notes on this topic.

Her net in hand salary was 76719 + you have to add GOVT contribution of 9189.
