Ayush Sinha’s remark to policemen to “break the heads”

A video clip of Ayush Sinha directing policemen to use lathis and to “break the heads” of barricade breakers has gone viral on social media. In the clip, the Karnal Sub-Divisional Magistrate can be seen giving instructions to policemen, telling them to “break the heads” of farmers trying to cross the security cordon.

Haryana’s Chief Minister has condemned the remarks by the IAS officer and said that strict action was necessary to ensure law and order. The state police officer has sought to justify his actions amid the controversy by saying that certain unscrupulous elements are part of the protesting groups.
