Junaid Ahmad Ias was born and brought up in the city of Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. He attended a private school, Aligarh Muslim University, and Sharda University in Noida for his higher education. After graduation, he joined the Jamia residential coaching center and began to take up UPSC preparation seriously. Although UPSC preparation is a long process, he maintains a positive outlook and believes that it can be done.
While studying for the exam, Junaid Ahmad was not interested in a private job. He was looking for something more meaningful. After graduating in 2014, he began his preparation for the Civil Services exam. He liked the idea of solving problems directly and connecting with people. He studied alone at first, but soon began attending motivational talks and debates in his college. He also started practicing yoga and other physical exercises.
After years of study and practice, Junaid Ahmad finally fulfilled his dream and became an IAS. He will be posted in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, in August 2021. Junaid Ahmad ias preparation for the UPSC exam & booklist & advice
As a student, Junaid Ahmad Ias did not prepare enough notes for the IAS Mains exam. This is one of the reasons that he failed the exam. Having experienced failures in the past, he decided to make comprehensive notes with bullet points. After a couple of years of failing the exam, he was able to crack the Mains exam. During the post-prelims preparation period, Junaid concentrated on answer writing. He made sure to make his notes bullet-pointed and concise.
While studying for the UPSC CSE exam, Junaid Ahmad focuses on answering questions correctly. He attended 10 mock tests per year and also took online coaching from NeoStencil. He used to set daily and weekly targets to achieve success in the exam. He wrote up to seven answers within an hour. He also discussed the points with his friends. He got inspired by Athar Aamir Khan and Shah Faesal, and read books by A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, who is considered as a role model for young aspirants.
Strategy for Prelims
He started his prelims preparation with a 9th to 12th class ncert book. In the prelims exam, you only can solve 40 to 45 questions even if you read all the syllabus after that you have to apply the knowledge and experience you learn through the preparation of this exam.
Geography- For this first of all he uses NCERT books of class 11th and 12th and he uses Physical and Human geography by GC Leong. India A Comprehensive Geography by D.R Khullar.
History- Old necrt book of class 11th and 12th, he also read Indias struggle for independence Bipin Chandra.
Polity- There is a book called Indian constitution at work class 11th this is an amazing book and it’s very helpful. One more book that you have to read was Indian Polity by M Laxmikant.
Economy- He started with Class 11th & 12th macroeconomic with this he prefer Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh.
Science and Teach- He did not read any book on this topic. He depends on newspapers, he read the Indian Express newspaper.
Environment and ecology– Like many other people Junaid Ahmad also read Environment By- Shankar IAS.
How did he prepare for the mains exam?
Art and culture- he uses the ncert books of class 11 and 12th but he told us that this book does not cover all that’s why he also uses art and culture books by fine art.
world history- If we check previous year’s question papers then three questions come from this topic so you have to prepare this topic very statically.
Ethics- He told us that you have to read ethics, there is no way you can ignore that. He started this topic by analyzing this paper, what is the meaning of this paper, and he tool coaching especially for ethics nut does not read any book for this.
How to stay motivated in the Journey of UPSC preparation
He tells us that, this is not a journey of three or six months. This is a journey of a year so after following a tough routine every day, sometimes he feels boring that’s why every weekend he is watching a movie with his one friend also he has a hobby of playing cricket some time he played cricket for refreshment.
